Between Lands (2015)

Between Lands is an immersive installation that asks volunteers inside and outside of virtual reality to work together to bring a series of musically reactive sculptures to life.  The social experience invites two volunteers on a cooperative journey through evocative worlds, while an audience surrounding them takes in the two realities in front of them.  It debuted at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in December 2015.

Between Lands was featured by the 8Nights8Windows  public space art project, highlighting the Hanukkah themes of miracles and illumination. An abstract menorah was created in the installation space, and illumunated by participants.  The project also attempted innovative social experimentation with virtual reality technology by asking a person in VR to cooperate and communicate with someone outside VR.
